Hawrelak Park will host the event at the Heritage Amphitheatre. The Utopia Music Festival is a celebration of love, unity and diversity.
Dale Plourde is the organizer of Utopia. He was a drummer who says he “fell in love” with Edmonton. He moved to the city some years ago and wanted to contribute to the cultural scene in Edmonton. Thus, Utopia Music Festival was formed.
Headliners to the event include David Usher, formerly of “Moist”, which is sure to draw in many devoted fans. Lights, an electro-pop star from Canada will perform, as well as Ani DiFranco, who is a folk icon in her own right.
Justin Blais, pop singer, will be performing at the festival. Souljah Fyah and local reggae singers will also take to the stage.
Ticket prices are $45, but some service charges may be added on to the price. Tickets will be available for purchase at Earth’s General Store, Foosh and Tix on the Square. Sales of the tickets begin on March 18.

A New Music Festival to be Held in June in Edmonton
