A tribute to Canadian music legend Stompin’ Tom has been planned for Camrose, with songs performed by a man who both performed with him and knew him as a friend.
The ‘Across This Land in Story & Song: A Tribute to Stompin’ Tom’ concert will feature the music and vocal talents of Tim Hus, who will be accompanied by his band. It will include several of the late artist’s best known songs, as well as stories and details about his life and work. Hus got to know him well when he toured with him, both in the role of an opening act and also as a musician in his band. He was also asked to perform at his funeral.
The host for the evening will be Graham Neil, who is a reporter with CTV Edmonton, where he relates the latest in entertainment news. He has been formerly named as the Edmonton Man of the Year, and has received numerous awards and accolades for his work. He also was the cofounder of the well-known Edmonton Comedy Festival. Poster printing can be used to create specially designed advertising materials that promote a concert like this to both the local community and those that surround it.
The concert has been scheduled for the Jeanne and peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre on September 18, at 8:00 pm. Tickets cost $85 each, and they can be purchased at the centre’s box office or through its website.
