Camrose fundraiser offers frosty fun

A fundraising golf tourney that boasts an icy twist will soon be teeing off in Camrose, and those who come out “fore” the fun will be helping to raise the roof on some local community service projects.

Habitat for Humanity will be the charity of choice for the Snow Golf Tournament coming up on a snow-covered course, and it will wrap up February with an afternoon of fun. The organizers acknowledged the generosity of K & K Prairie Recycling Services, which is the presenting sponsor for the activity, and the registration fee is $120 for a team of four.

Whether they are a seasoned golfer or have never picked up a club or putter before, this fundraiser promises to offer fun for all who register. A banquet, even-split and other prize draws have all been organized, and there are various ways for the city’s corporate community to get involved.

The planners of the tournament have put together a selection of sponsorship packages, and they are also interested in hearing from companies that may want to donate Corporate Gifts in kind or Promotional Products to use as swag bag inserts. Sponsorship package choices start at $350 and go up to $3,000.

On Saturday, February 28, the 10th annual Snow Golf fundraiser will add a chilly touch to a typical day on the links. More details can be found through its web listing.
