Camrose set to say farewell to 2017

This December, Camrose will be both giving a warm welcome to 2018 and saying farewell to Canada’s 150th birthday year by hosting a big New Year’s Eve party, and the whole community is invited.

The family friendly festivities will offer something for all ages, and there will be lots of hot chocolate to keep the crowd warmed up as well. A Much Music video dance is on the agenda, and guests can choose between illuminated swimming or illuminated skating. A special Path of Light, complete with fairies, will also be part of the fun.

To help mark the occasion for the future, a time capsule will be presented to the public, and the whole event will be capped off with an early countdown to 2018. Along with all of the other activities, those who attend the event may be lucky and win a prize during one of the giveaways that will be taking place throughout the evening. The concession stand will also be open for anyone who wants a bite to eat. Pop-up Banners can be used to decorate an event like this, and can then be stored away for use during a subsequent function.

These all-ages activities will be held in EnCana Arena, the Aquatic Centre and Rudy Swanson Park. They are all be offered to the public free of charge, and the Tourism Camrose website includes more information about the evening.
