The Winter Carnival is starting in Alberta later this week, and will provide families with a way to get their children off the couch and outside to enjoy some fresh air and quality family time during the holiday season.
Flyer printing and poster printing may well have been used to promote this special seasonal event to people in this community and in the surrounding regions.
As part of the event, families will get the chance to test their sleuthing skills during the planned scavenger hunt, compete with others in games of milk jug curling, create some old-time crafts, and get stuck into some family games.
There will be free skating on offer during the event, so families are reminded to bring everyone a pair of skates. There will also be a number of other activities, including table hockey and foosball, a snowball toss, the winter road trip game, colorful puzzles, and stacking toys to build and tumble.
Families are reminded to bring cameras in order to capture pictures of their children having fun.
Admission for the event is $29.76 for a family or $9.99 per adult and $4.89 per child. The Winter Carnival will be happening from this Friday until January 3 at the Gasoline Alley Museum, which is located on Heritage Drive Southwest in Calgary, Alberta.
Skating for this event will take place at the Heritage Town Square. To learn more or purchase tickets, visit the Winter Carnival website or call the Gasoline Alley Museum during opening hours – 9:30am to 4:00pm.
