Plant propagation workshop planned for Calgary green thumbs

Calgary green thumbs who would be interested in learning some of the basic skills needed to produce new plants from a parent source will have a chance to do so when they take part in the DIY Plant Propagation workshop to be hosted by Plant Shop.

The class will give learners an opportunity to discover how easy it can be to root cuttings, and they will even be able to get some hands-on experience. The students will take their own cuttings and then plant them, and they will also receive a Kelly Built propagation block to take home with them.

The workshop will run for approximately two hours, and all of the items the class will need to propagate the plants provided will be supplied to them. They will also be going home with a guide they can use on their own, and resource materials like these can be created by Stationery printers in the area. The registration fee is $75, and tickets must be purchased in advance, as this will make it easier for the organizers to plan the event.

Those who would like to add to their horticultural toolbox in a fun and informative setting are welcome to register for this class, which will be held on both May 26 and June 26. It will be offered at 1327 9th Avenue.
