Candle workshop to light up Calgary

A workshop planned for Calgary will teach the public to make beeswax candles of their very own.

Those who take part in the rolled beeswax candle workshop will have an opportunity to create a selection of candles using a rolling technique. At the same time, they will also have an opportunity to learn more about bees, how they produce the wax, and the many uses it has. They will be able to choose from 24 colors of sheets of the wax and several different candle types. Participants can even come with patterns of their own, and the facilitator can assist them should they need any extra help in creating their finished masterpieces.

Both the instruction and materials will be provided, and are included in the cost to take part in the workshop. It can accommodate up to 12 people, and at least six are needed for it to take place. A Stationery printing company can work with the facilitator of events such as this to create instructional sheets for those who take part to bring home with them.

The rolled beeswax candle workshop will take place on October 27th, running from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association, which is located at 1320 5 Avenue Northwest. Tickets are $50 each.
