A special evening is on the horizon for the Calgary Zoo, and those who attend will get to meet some of its charges up close.
The zoo is home to two resident hippos, and these will be the focus of the fundraising evening, which will be hosted on site. The guests will be invited to enjoy dinner and an educational program at the Safari Lodge and African Savannah Building, and the meal is included in the ticket price.
During the function, the guests will be able to enjoy an exclusive visit with Lobi and Sparky, the zoo’s two hippos. After this, they will be served a four-course, plated dinner while they take in a presentation that provides more details about hippopotamuses and their homes in the wild. Anyone who would like to purchase alcoholic or soft drinks will be able to do so, and tickets are on offer for $115.00 each, plus GST.

The Calgary Zoo will be hosting its After Hours at the Zoo: Hippos event to those aged 18 and up on March 26th. The gates will open for ticket holders at 3 pm.
