Calgary to host special buffet for moms

Calgary’s Grey Eagle Resort and Casino’s restaurant showcases the culinary talents of First Nations chefs and other professionals in the food service industry, and they will soon be preparing a special spread in honour of area moms.

The venue will be rolling out the red carpet for its Mother's Day brunch, which will be hosted in its Ballroom. Both hot and cold dishes will be on offer, and reservations are mandatory to take a seat for the meal.

The buffet will offer choices that range from typical breakfast fare to gourmet hot dishes, and as there will be kids in the crowd, there will be choices designed to appeal to them too. These young guests will also be able to enjoy having their faces painted and watching the balloon artists at work.

Many of the ingredients that will be used to prepare the food for the meal will be locally sourced. The menu will feature a selection of dishes that are traditional to First Nations communities, such as Bannock, bison, Saskatoon berry jam and fry bread.

Eateries that plan special events in honour of Mother's Day often choose to order special gifts to give to each mom who comes out. Print shops can assist with customizing such gifts.

Grey Eagle Resort and Casino will be showing moms how much they matter with this special event planned for May 14th. Tickets may be reserved online.
