The tour will begin June 3 in Victoria at the 30th annual Times Colonist Island Savings Open. Golfers on the tour will be treated to a week off until play resumes in Calgary at the ATP Financial Classic, which is to be held in Alberta’s toughest course, The Talons at Country Hills.
Jeff Monday, president of PGA Tour Canada, said:
"This is a very solid starting point for our schedule. Our goal is to provide our members with quality events with long-term commitments, which leave a lasting impact in the communities we play and we feel we are well on our way to achieving those goals. We are working on several opportunities to increase the number of events not only this year but in 2014."
The PGA Tour always draws appreciative crowds, eager to get out during Canada’s short outdoor season to watch the game’s best competitors in action vying for cash prizes.
Golf courses, both private and public, host numerous golf tournaments such as this throughout the season. Charity golf tournaments are good opportunities for Print companies to offer clubs banner printing, sign printing, scorecards, and Brochures, both for the event and for promotional purposes.
Bolstered by lucrative sponsorship agreements, there are four more Canadian stops in the PGA Tour planned through to September with a stop in Atlantic Canada, plus an additional tournament to be announced later in the year.
