The Calgary Highlanders Regiment has a long history, and this will be celebrated during the 74th Grand Highland Military Ball this May.
The Regiment will be donning its dress uniforms for this elegant evening, which will be taking place at the Fairmont Palliser’s Crystal Ballroom. The theme will be “Honoring Valor: Yesterday's Legacy, Today's Strength, Tomorrow's Triumph”, and it will celebrate the past and future of the regiment and the rest of the Forces.
Tickets for the event are $300, and anyone with medals or other decorations is asked to wear them. The monies raised will support the Regiment’s members and their families through initiatives such as care packages for deployed members and support for Cadets. Non-military members are asked to wear business formal wear or evening attire.
As the event will be serving as a fundraiser, a sponsorship program has been put in place. These start at the “thankful” level and go up to “patron”, and gifts in kind will also be gratefully accepted. Corporate Gifts are sometimes donated to fundraising events like this one.
The Calgary Highlanders Regiment’s 74th Grand Highland Military Ball will open its doors at the Fairmont Palliser at 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 4th. Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. The ball’s Eventbrite listing includes a link to reserve tickets, as well as further information.
