Those who would like to add to their skill set when it comes to working with puppets may find that the intensive workshop planned for Calgary will be just what they have been looking for.
Dean Bareham, who is the Artistic Director of Green Fools, will be sharing his expertise in puppetry during a two-day intensive event that will take place in June. The registration deadline is June 13th, and the fee to take part has been set at $180 plus GST.
The classes, which will run for eight hours on both days, will explore various types of puppetry and how they have been used in the past. Shadow, rod muppet, marionettes and large-scale styles will all be covered, and everyone will get some hands-on experience. The supplies will be provided, but everyone is encouraged to bring along their own puppets if they have any. The number of learners will be kept small so everyone can enjoy some one-on-one teaching.
Professional-level workshops give people an opportunity to hone their current skills and learn new ones. Stationery printers will be able to provide handouts and other materials for these types of events.
Bareham will be sharing his expertise with the registrants in this intensive experience on June 18th and 19th. The classes will be on offer at 7056G Farrel Road South East in Calgary.
