There are a variety of options available for women giving birth to a child, and a Calgary meet-and-greet will give parents-to-be an opportunity to meet some in person.
Inspired by speed dating, the function planned for The Winston Golf Club will see expectant parents meet doulas face to face. It is free to attend the function, and it is a production of the Calgary Doula Association.
The participants will be able to ask the doulas who will be participating any questions they have, and they will be able to see if they are a good fit for their personal needs. Anyone who is interested can attend the activity on their own or with their spouse, partner or other support person. There will be information provided about what each of these trained professionals do, and tickets for the afternoon are available now.
Pregnancy can be an exciting time, and attending a birthing class, doula meet-and-greet or other workshop can give future parents information they can use. Handouts for such an activity can be created by local Stationery printers.
This afternoon of learning about doulas and what they do will be held on November 12th, and it will begin at 11:00 am and run until 3:30 pm. The ticketing system for the occasion is now open, and anyone who would like to attend is welcome to reserve their seat now.
