Kids who are fascinated by bugs will be able to explore these creatures to their heart’s content when they attend a week of activities being held this summer.
Youngsters between the age of 5 and 12 will be learning all about insects, spiders and other creepy crawlies during The Big World of Bugs week of fun that will be hosted at Lycée Louis Pasteur in Calgary. The registration fee is $50, and each session is scheduled to last for about one hour.
The facilitators for these events have a lot of experience working with kids, and they will introduce them to the bugs that can be found in their local area, as well as all over the world. Identification techniques will be taught, and there will even be outdoor scavenger hunts and other chances to make discoveries. The kids will learn how insects and arachnids impact the human world, and there will also be lots of time to make new friends.
A hands-on activity like this may spark a lifelong love of learning in a child, and to help encourage them to keep on learning even once the event has drawn to a close, organizers may wish to distribute identification guides and other materials to each participant. Stationery printers will be able to prepare materials like this.
The Big World of Bugs is scheduled to begin on July 19th, and the session will take place each morning until July 23rd. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to register their child now.
