Working in the kitchen gives kids an opportunity to have fun while they build their confidence, and this life skill will be developed during a class planned for Calgary.
The kids who take part in the baking class on the way for this summer will each get to assemble and decorate their very own animal cake. These mini pastries will be prebaked and ready to decorate on the participants’ arrival, and they will be walked through the steps of frosting them.
The animal cakes will be large enough to serve four. The fondant decorations and frosting will be supplied, and the class will run for one and half hours. Young people aged seven and up can participate in the class on their own, but younger children can attend if a parent or guardian takes part as well.
Taking part in cookery or baking class like this can give a child skills they can use throughout their life. Recipe cards can be prepared for such a session by Stationery printers, and they can be laminated so they will be protected from any kitchen spills.
The Kids Class: Animal Cakes session will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 23rd. It will be taking place at 607 Meredith Road, and tickets are $52.00 each. It is being offered by Cakeify Studio.
