Hospice Calgary provides compassionate support and care for individuals and families looking to learn about end-of-life planning. It also offers educational programming for the general public, and it has planned a workshop for the month of June.
Titled ‘Dying to Know’, the two-hour-long informal seminar will be focused on exploring funeral planning, with a goal of giving people information they can use to make informed decisions for themselves or a loved one. The organizer explained that this can help to give the attendees a “sense of empowerment, peace of mind, and completion” and there is no cost to sit in on the session.
The workshop will be a casual affair, and all the participants will be encouraged to ask any questions they might have and discuss the topic from their own perspective. It will be taking place in Sage Centre, and there is plenty of parking both in the space in front of the building and also directly across the road at Trail Appliances.
An event like this can provide a way to introduce a subject that may sometimes be difficult to talk about and make it a lot less overwhelming. Booklets that provide additional information can be appreciated by those who participate, and these can be produced by a brochure printing company.
