Buying a first home can be a milestone in a person’s life, and tips about how to avoid the common pitfalls of the process will be the subject of an upcoming Calgary workshop.
The session, which is suited to those who plan on purchasing a home in the next year, will cover a variety of topics that can make buying first home a whole lot easier. There will be a discussion of applying for a mortgage, how to shop around to get the best rates, and how someone’s credit score can affect their ability to borrow.
Those who attend will also be given an introduction to the city’s real estate market, how government programs and other initiatives can help people save to purchase a property. According to the organizers, one of the main goals of the event is to help people get the most for their money when it comes to buying their first home. They will be well prepared, know what questions to ask and understand what pitfalls to avoid. A printer can provide branded promotional Pens and note pads to be distributed to those who participate in an initiative such as this so they will be able to jot down any information they feel is especially helpful to them.
The workshop will take place on September 27 in the Alexeander Callhoun Library. There is no admission fee, and everyone who feels the knowledge could be helpful to them is welcome to attend.
