Those who work in the healthcare field in Calgary have been invited to secure their seat for an upcoming learning event.
The W21C Research & Innovation Centre will be running a three-day short course that investigates human factors in healthcare. It is a continuing education opportunity planned with nurses, doctors, equipment technicians, administrators and others in the sector, and the registration fee starts at $787.50.
The participants in the short course will develop an understanding of the role human factors can play in healthcare delivery, and it will cross a variety of disciplines. Its influence in areas such as procurement, capital planning, medication safety and process evaluation will all be discussed, and the learners will find out how to apply them to improve patient care and outcomes. The series of classes will also be offered in Edmonton at a later date.
Professionals in many fields may appreciate an opportunity to keep their skill set up to date, and a continuing education option provides them with a way to do so. Handouts and other class materials can be prepared by area Stationery printers.
The Human Factors in Healthcare - Calgary Course 2024 will be offered starting on January 29th at 3330 Hospital Drive NW. Early bird tickets will be on offer until January 2nd. After this, the price will rise.
