Calgary course on offer for electricians

Each province has its own set of regulations and policies regarding fire alarms and controls, and those that apply to Calgary will be reviewed as part of an upcoming continuing education course.

The Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA) has scheduled a Fire Alarm Training course for this October, and both ECAA members and non-members can apply to participate. There will be four days of learning, which will take place over 36 hours.

The learners who successfully complete the training will be able to apply for their own Personal identification Number (PIN), which is necessary for the maintenance of fire alarm systems in Alberta. Lunch is included in the registration fee, and the function will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Airport. The organizers have noted that the training will only be offered if enough people apply to take part.

One of the perks of registering for this sort of learning opportunity is that each student will walk away with a manual of ECAA/CFAA standards and practices that they will be able to keep for future reference. Items like this can be produced by area Print shops.

The ECAA is pleased to be offering its learning opportunity on October 21st, and it will wrap up on October 29th. The group has organized other training sessions throughout the province so that as many as possible can take part.
