Calgary class builds floral hanging baskets
Mothers, grandmothers and other leading ladies who love flowers may enjoy receiving a hand-made horticultural gift, and attendees in a Calgary class will all be crafting one of these projects.
Whether they are preparing one to give away to someone special or keep it for themselves, the Hanging Basket workshop scheduled by the Calgary Farmers’ Market South will welcome all gardening skill levels. Both 10 and 12 inch basket sizes will be available, and the tickets are $30.47 and $39.42 respectively.
The facilitators for the class will help the attendees build their baskets, and they will walk them through all the steps of preparing one that will last for a long time. They can choose their favourite flowers and colour combinations, and children are encouraged to participate along with an adult. While they work, everyone will be taught how to care for their arrangement, and they can take it home with them at the end of the session.
Hanging baskets, container gardens and other horticultural classes are a common sight in the spring. Copy of handouts, pocket sized planting zone guides, dibblers and other small promotional products for a function can be prepared by stationery printers.
The team at The Jungle Farm will be sharing their skills during the Other’s Day Hanging Flower Basket workshop for May 10th. It will start at 10:00 am.
