A classic car show can be a fun way for community to kick off summer, and one of these activities, which will combine vehicles with raising money to help keep everyone fed, is right around the corner for Calgary.
Meals on Wheels will be hosting its Wheels 4 Meals fundraising car show, and the festivities will be held at 5759 80 Avenue East. All of the proceeds from the day will be donated to the cause, and the display of vehicles will be just one of the attractions on the agenda.
Along with a chance for area car buffs to show off their pride and joys, the function will include an even split draw, raffles, food service vendors and an assortment of tables set up by local small businesses. The goal is for there to be between 100 and 150 entered in the show, and this number may go up as its date approaches. Advance registration is recommended, and donations are also being gratefully accepted.
Vehicle show organizers often choose to order collectible dash plaques to give to the registrants as souvenirs of the occasion. These may be prepared by a local printing services company.
