A yard sale can benefit both sellers and shoppers alike, and one that includes a large number of households will pop up in Calgary for one weekend only.
The annual Citadel Parade of Garage Sales has proven to be a popular activity, and it tends to even attract buyers from other neighbourhoods. Those who sign up will have their name and location added to a map that’s being prepared for distribution to the public, and a local Realtor has made plans to sponsor the event.
Once a household has registered to set up shop during the sale, they will receive a free sign that features a special graphic design to help promote their pop up market. Emails will also be sent out that give tips and other helpful information for the sellers. The newspaper marketing will be supplied courtesy of Zeena Taghvai RE/Max Real Estate Mountain View, and it will ensure that there is plenty of signage in place for the occasion.
Many of those who go “yard saling” plan out their day carefully so they will be able to visit as many as possible. The maps that will be distributed by the Citadel Community Association will make it easier for them to organize their schedule, and these sorts of items can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
This year's Citadel Parade of Garage Sales will be popping up on June 12th and 13th. The final day to register as a seller and receive the free signage will be May 9th.
