Calgary winter penguin walks return for another year

Calgary Zoo is offering residents to brave the winter weather to greet its penguins as they embark on their daily winter waddle around the zoo.

The king penguins who call Calgary Zoo home hail from the coldest region of the globe, so to them, a typical winter day is balmy weather. Once each day, they will be heading out to explore the zoo grounds, and visitors can enjoy getting some up close views of these birds.

The penguins will be allowed to choose whether or not they want to go for a walk, and the activity can help to enrich their daily lives. It also gives them a chance to get some exercise, and visitors to the zoo can get some photos of the fun.

These daily penguin walks will begin at 11am, so long as the weather cooperates. The organizers noted that the safety of the birds is the top priority, and the event may be cancelled if it puts them at risk. A zoo can order Promotional Products that feature penguins, its Logo Design or other graphics to sell to help fund activities like this, and there are many options to choose from.

Calgary's penguins will be enjoying their cold weather waddles throughout the winter months. They begin just outside the penguin enclosure, but will not be held if the weather goes above five degrees.
