Calgary offers holiday shopping party
Calgary will be kicking off another holiday gift buying season with an activity that will provide a one-stop shopping-style experience.
This will be the 4th year effort for the Christmas Extravaganza, and it will be a two day shopping party. There will be fun for the whole family, and Hall D at the BMO Centre will be the location for the festivities.
The event will give both parents and kids lots to see and do, and while the parents browse, they can enjoy watching the excitement on the faces of the young guests while they visit the bouncy castles, play games , make a craft and spend some time with The Big Guy in Red. A babysitting station will give the moms and dads a chance to shop on their own, and beer and other beverage sellers, food trucks and at least 150 vendors will be on hand. The first 100 to arrive each day will receive a swag bag of promotional products, and admission will be free. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Pop-up markets can be a fun way to both start and finish one's holiday gift buying, and may save a lot of steps. Vendors can order business cards and other supplies from area printers.
