A Calgary event will offer all kinds of fun with a purpose later this year, and the whole city is invited to literally pull together to make it a big success.
Orbis Canada has a mission of eradicating preventable blindness, and its Calgary fundraiser will play an important role in funding its efforts. The goal will be to move a 60-tonne 757 that is part of the FedEx fleet faster than then other teams, and with the competition kept on a friendly note.
Each team will have up to 20 members, and those who register are asked to fund raise as much as they can before the date of the activity. The organizers noted it is meant to be a fun day out for families or even corporate teams, and there will also be games and other activities on offer as well. There will be special pulls just for the kids, and the whole family is welcome, even if it’s just to cheer on the pullers. A banner printing company can prepare markers for both the start and finish line, as well as other decor that can make a fundraiser like this even more exciting.
The 2020 Orbis Calgary plane Pull has been rescheduled to September 26. It will be held at the FedEx Ramp located at the Calgary International Airport.
