Rockhounds in Calgary may want to reserve room in their springtime calendar for an event that will be showcasing rocks, minerals and gems.
The CRLC Rock & Mineral Show will be making its return for 2021, and it will be celebrating its 60th year. A large selection of local and national vendors will be in attendance, and minerals, ores, jewellery and crafting supplies will all be included in the mix.
The whole family will be able to explore the expo-style function, and the younger rockhounds can enjoy spending some time at the “sapphire mine”, where they can get digging. A jewellery making demonstration has been planned, and everyone will also be welcome to sit in on a geology or beading workshop.
In addition, the gathering will serve as a fundraiser for The Calgary Rock and Lapidary Club, and a silent auction and door prize draw will also take place.
