Calgary class to prepare perfect pies

An event that may create a brand-new crop of home pastry chefs on set to be on offer for Calgary, and Heritage Park will be the venue for this hands-on workshop.

This baking class will provide tips and tricks for making pies with a light and flaky crust, and it is the final instalment in the venue’s Culinary Workshop Series. All levels of experience may benefit from participating in the session, and when they leave for home, everyone will be taking a freshly baked classic apple pie along with them.

During the event, the participants will discover how to make pastry dough, including how to blend, roll and cut out a pie crust. After this, they will move on to filling preparation, and they will be able to enjoy a slice while they work. The run time for the activity is two hours, and tickets may be reserved online, starting at $78.75 each.

A cookery class can show how easy it may be to bake tasty treats at home. Offering the students in this type of function laminated recipe cards may encourage them to keep on baking, and items like these may be obtained at area printing services companies.

The Making Pies segment of the Culinary Workshop Series will take place on November 21st. Anyone who would like to register is asked to visit the Heritage Park website.
