Calgary class to capture beauty of fall foliage

As summer transitions to autumn, a Calgary workshop will help local painters learn how to capture the beauty of fall foliage.

Those who register for the fall edition of the Landscape Painting Techniques: Trees and Foliage
Class will have the opportunity to add some new techniques to their toolbox. It will be a hands-on session, and everyone will have the opportunity to practice what they learn.

The workshop is open to all levels of experience, and the registrants can choose to work with oil, watercolour or acrylic paints, but pastels are not permitted. It will begin with a review of basic tree shapes, and it will then move onto foliage. The participants will find out how to paint half-empty trees and tree crowns, as well as mark-making, and the use of the interplay of light and shadow to create a three-dimensional look will also be included. The organizers have requested that anyone who is interested in attending register in advance, which can be done via Eventbrite.

A class or workshop provides an opportunity to learn a new skill. A flyer printing company can work closely with event organizers so they have the marketing materials they need.

The fall-themed painting class is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am on September 21st. It will be on offer at 6999 11 Street Southeast in Calgary.
