For the animals in the care of the Calgary Humane Society, the best holiday gift of all would be to find a loving forever home, and the public has been asked to help provide them with the items they need while they wait.
The organization will be holding its “Stuff a Pooch Pad" campaign this winter. The society cares for thousands of dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and other companion animals that have been abandoned, abused or neglected each year. It provides them with a safe haven, and the donations will help the society to care for them all.
A list of items the society needs has been prepared, and many of the items can be purchased through the Calgary Humane Society Pet Gear Store. All of the proceeds from these sales will go straight to the cause. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter or at any local Pet Planet location.
The goal is to fill the “pooch pads” with donated items, and a poster printing company can make a difference in this sort of campaign. Posters can aid in raising community awareness and can make it easy for members of the public to find out how they can get involved.
The Stuff a Pooch Pad campaign will run from December 7th to December 16th. The organizers have thanked everyone in advantage for their generous support of this fundraiser.
