Calgary activity to show some love to local wetlands

A Calgary event will offer a deep dive exploration of the wetlands, providing a chance to learn more about these important areas.

Bow Habitat Station will be open to the public for the “What’s Up With Wetlands” activity, which can be enjoyed by almost any age. Celebrating an area often seen as one of nature’s “silent workers”, it will blend fun with learning, and it can offer an introduction to environmental stewardship and why it can be important.

When they arrive at the station, the public will be invited to explore the various displays and hands on activities that will be on offer, and there will be experts on hand to meet. There will be representatives from Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society, the Alberta Community Bat Program and the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation in attendance, which will make it a valuable opportunity to engage in a lot of learning, all under one roof.

Admission to this special occasion is included with the ticket price to the Discovery Centre. Leaflets including more information that may be of interest to the attendees can be prepared for an educational activity like this by a brochure printing company in the community.

Bow Habitat Station will be offering its tip of the hat to the world’s wetlands on June 5. It will begin welcoming visitors at 10:00 am.
