Time fore a fundraiser in Airdrie
Airdrie golf course host a day out on the links this summer, and since it will raise money for the local food bank, the participants can swing their clubs and putters knowing they are lending others a helping hand.
This year will be the 12 for the Astoria tournament, and 2019’s charity of choice is the Airdrie Food Bank. Last year, the event was able to raise almost $39,000, and with the public’s continued support, this year will hopefully be an even bigger success.
The event has been planned for a Thursday afternoon, and check-in starts at 11:30 am. Tee-off will be at 1:30 pm, and the plans for the day also includes time on the driving range, a silent auction and a steak dinner. Tickets are $200 per person, and both monetary donations and gifts in kind for the silent auction are also welcome.
To help make sure the day of golf reaches its fundraising goal of $40,000, the organizers have created several sponsorship opportunities for local businesses. Including the logo design of any companies that wish to get involved in an event like this can be a great way for the organizers to show their appreciation, and these can be prepared by a printer's graphic design department.
The community is invited to tee off to help others on August 22. The fundraiser will be held at Woodside Golf Course.
