Family-friendly festival to be hosted in Airdrie
May is when life in Airdrie can really heat up, and a festival planned with families in mind will open the summer event season for the town.
The annual Airdrie Children’s Festival will be a fun-filled weekend, and all of the activities will be offered free of charge thanks to the support of its community sponsors. Most of the options will involve active participation, and Nose Creek Park will be the venue for many of the sessions.
Members of the public will be treated to everything from live concerts to a fun walk through the park. A carnival, inspiration station manned by community members and group representatives, and workshops are all on the agenda, with the workshop schedule to be released at a later date. Topics including coding, writing, art, yoga, dance and even train engineering will all be explored.
The planners of the festivities have explained that the event would not be possible without the support of its sponsors. Cal Clark Ford, Servus Credit Union and many other companies have chosen to sponsor the fest, and the logo design of each of these businesses has been added to the festival’s website.
