Airdrie to learn art of working with resin

Resin can be used to produce everything from jewellery to cutting boards, and an upcoming Airdrie event will teach the basics of working with this material.

The Resin Art will be on offer at Where Memories are Made, located at 201 Sagewood Landing SW. The attendees will be making a lazy Susan, and they can either keep the finished project or give it to someone special.

Each registrant for the session will receive a round of wood for their project, and the resin will be supplied as well. Time has been built into the agenda for practice pours, and this will provide the chance to see how the materials flows and also how colours combine.

The facilitator for the class will give a live demonstration, and she will prepare the resin, as well as mixing it with different additions to create unique items. As resins need time to cure, the completed pieces will be made available at a later date. Refreshments will be provided, and all levels of experience may register.

Learning a new crafting technique can be a lot of fun, and a workshop provides the opportunity to do so. Waivers, letterheads and other business stationery printing services for an event like this can be sourced from a local printer.

The Resin Art: Lazy Susan Workshop on Saturday, November 30th. It will begin at 11:00 am.
