What's Happening in Airdrie, AB…

Airdrie music lovers to be treated to international afternoon

Even though international travel may be out of the question for many right now, an Airdrie area event will offer residents a classical music experience that may make them feel as if they have been on a world tour.

The afternoon of pieces that will be performed for local classical music fans will have an international flavour, and it will feature works from composers in a variety of locations. Leanne Regehr and Sarah MacDonald will both take to the stage, and the public can enjoy the show either in person or online.

The audience will be treated to a two-hour program of flute and piano works, and the pieces selected will be drawn from Europe, Asia and Canada. Tickets are on offer free of charge, and the music will begin at 2:00pm. All ages are welcome to enjoy the musical experience, and a poster printing company’s team can prepare a variety of materials that let the public know that this sort of activity is on offer in their local community.

The show, which has been dubbed “Postcards from an Imaginary Vacation”, will be offering a world tour for Airdrie music lovers on February 21st. The in-person performance will take place at the Polaris Centre for the Performing Arts, and additional details are available on its website, along with registration.
