Airdrie fundraiser to be festive affair
The Airdrie Food Bank works to make sure no one in the community goes hungry, and it has an event in the works that will offer members of the public a way to get involved.
The Shamrock Shimmy will be an event that kicks off in late March, and it will be an evening filled with Irish-themed fun. The festivities will commence with a cocktail meet and greet, and after this, it will be time for the ticket holders to take their seats for a dinner.
During the event, the special guest host Air106’s Claire Spencer will serve as the MC, and the food will be provided by Smitty’s catering. Live entertainment by Corbie Dorner will keep everyone smiling, and a live auction is also on the agenda. A professional DJ will supply the post-dinner tunes for dancing, and while they enjoy themselves, the guests will be able to learn about the food bank and how it helps the community.
The organizers of the event are hoping that the local business community will choose to stand behind the celebration by acting as a sponsor or donating some gifts in kind for the auction. Poster printing is often used to advertise the need for event sponsors.
