Airdrie fundraiser all about getting active
Airdrie is widely known as a caring community that looks after its own, and this is the motivation behind an event that will give locals a way of giving back that can be both a challenge and a whole lot of fun.
On one day in early January, area fitness aficionados will be asked to lend a hand to the Airdrie Angel Program. A selection the community’s fitness studios have joined in the fundraiser, and each will be hosting 45 minute “sweat sessions” for the occasion.
All those who sign up for the fundraiser will be placed in one of three groups, and each will start off their experience at a different location. The participants are reminded to come dressed to work out, and since it will more than likely be cold outside, they may also wish to bring outdoor clothing for when they are transitioning between different venues.
Anyone who is over 16 and is at least 4’ 10’’ will be able to be a part of this active fundraising effort. Offering the registrants promotional products such as water bottles printed with an organization’s logo design can be a simple way to thank those who sign up to be included in this type of function.
