Airdrie Food Bank to host Empty Bowls fundraiser

The Empty Bowls movement gives artists and the general public a way to support local feeding programs, and Airdrie will be one of the communities that will be hosting one of these activities.

The Airdrie Food Bank will be welcoming members of the public for its Empty Bowls Arts Festival, which will combine artistic and culinary talents. Along with the food, there will be other fun as well, and the entire family may enjoy the festivities.

During the celebration, local chefs will serve up freshly prepared soups and other one bowl meals, and there will be live music and other entertainment too. Everyone can purchase a handcrafted bowl to keep and take home, and the kids can have their faces painted and watch the balloon artists at work. There may still be room for additional chefs and sponsors to get in on the fun, and when they do, they will be helping their neighbours in need.

Properly marketing a fundraiser is often an important part of its success, and a printing services company will have a wide assortment of options available for its clients.

Airdrie’s Empty Bowls Arts Festival will be turning compassion and empathy into action on Saturday, September 13th. It will take place at Airdrie Food Bank, 20 East Lake Way, starting at 10:30 am.
