Airdrie class to construct handmade serving boards
Anyone who would like to learn some new woodworking skills while creating a special piece to keep or give as a holiday gift is welcome to register for a hands-on crafting class in Airdrie.
Image Painting Plus offers a variety of ways to get creative, and it has made plans to offer an activity that will see participants craft bamboo serving boards that include resin as one of their components. They will have a paddle-style design, and the attendees can customize their project by choosing embellishments and colours.
The instructor for the activity will walk the learners through the steps to complete their piece, and all of the supplies needed will be provided. The boards will be sanded so they are smooth, and tape will ensure that the edges are clean. The resin used will be food safe, and they will be ready for pick up starting 24 hours after the workshop.
To help make sure the serving boards constructed during the class keep on looking great for a long time to come, the participants will each go home with printed care tip sheets. Stationery printers can be counted on to provide handouts like this for almost any occasion.
This introduction to the art of working with bamboo and resin will be on offer on November 26th. The venue can be found at 1960 Woodside Boulevard in Northwest Airdrie.
