Airdrie celebration to add extra sparkle to holiday season

A winter night in Alberta can seem very long, but an Airdrie celebration is set to light up the darkness this December.

Thousands of colourful lights will provide a festive atmosphere for the annual Airdrie Festival of Lights, and it will be set up for the enjoyment of the public in Nose Creek Park. It is the largest event of its kind in western Canada, and is entirely free of charge.

The Airdrie Festival of Lights is a community celebration, and planners have noted that it depends upon the support of local sponsors and volunteers. Anyone who would like to get involved is welcome to do so, and all assistance will be appreciated. They have also explained that special safety precautions will be put into place due to COVID-19, including social distancing and wearing masks.

Sponsoring an activity like this can be a fun way for a business to show its community spirit. Often, organizers will display the logo design of the companies that sponsor the event on the festival’s promotional materials and website to thank sponsors for their support and to advertise the businesses to the community.

This year's Airdrie Festival of Lights will once again be welcoming attendees throughout the whole of December. The official website includes all the pertinent details for anyone who is interested.
