Airdrie afternoon to offer salute to area moms
Mothering Sunday takes place on March 27th across the pond in the UK, and Airdrie will be among the communities in Canada marking this occasion with a special event.
Ladies Out Loud, a community service group made up of local women, has organized a Mothering Sunday cream tea. Those who are interested are invited to honour their mom, grandma, adult daughter or other special woman in their life by attending the celebration, and tickets are $32.84. This includes taxes and fees.
The guests will be served a variety of teatime fare. Scones, squares and other sweets are all on the menu, and jam and butter will accompany the baked goods. Everyone will be able to meet and mingle, and the scheduled run time is two hours. Tickets for the afternoon will be available for purchase until March 24th.
