What's Happening in Airdrie, AB…

Afternoon class to welcome Airdrie crafters

Winter is right around the corner for Airdrie, and those who take a seat in an upcoming local crafting class will be able to greet the season with some new decor for their front door.

The project of choice for the afternoon will be a round wooden sign, and each participant will be able to personalize it to suit their own home. The fee for the activity is $60, and all of the materials are included in the price.

When they arrive for the session, all students will receive an 18-inch sanded round to work with, and they can then finish it using their choice of colours. After this, they will use pre-made vinyl stencils to add letters to their piece, and the final step will be to add a ribbon for hanging. All of the instruction will be supplied, and the class will be limited to just six crafters.

The success of an activity like this often depends on promoting it to the community, and a printing services company will be able to lend a hand. Such a company can prepare a large selection of marketing materials and other items to encourage the public to check out the session.

The Round Sign Workshop will be taking place on November 28th. The venue is at 201 Sagewood Landing SW.
