An evening of sound therapy will be held later this month in Wangara.
The class will be run by Julian Silburn, who is a performer as well as a didgeridoo teacher.
Participants will experience an evening where sound is used to create a deep sense of relaxation and rejuvenation. Using a variety of instruments, sound will be used as a healing modality with the vibrations aiming to lull attendees into a peaceful state.
The use of sound therapy is believed to promote a sense of well-being, promote healthy sleep patterns and assist with pain relief.
Julian has 24 years’ experience playing the didgeridoo and is keenly interested in Aboriginal culture. He was inspired to take up the didgeridoo after hearing Dereck Nannup, a well-known Noongar didgeridoo player.
He has since studied different styles of playing and has been instructed by the Arnhemland people in how to play traditional styles accurately and has performed around the country. Julian also has been approved to teach and perform the didgeridoo by Noongar and Arnhemland Yolgnu Elders.
The sound therapy evening will be run at the Greenwood Yoga Studio in Wangara, Waneroo. Flyer and poster printing services can be used to advertise events such as this.
The session will be held on May 31st at 7pm. The cost of tickets are $35 per person.
