Nature and fun combined at new interactive playground

The construction of a new play area within the Kingsway Regional Playground’s six stage redevelopment project has proven a big windfall for local children in Madley and neighbouring Wangara, Western Australia

This latest innovation offers inquisitive youngsters an opportunity to have fun while enjoying the natural surroundings, a concept that has been a major focal point for the entire project.

According to a City of Wanneroo spokesperson, the playground has successfully combined nature-based play with conventional leisure equipment.

The star of the new playground is the dinosaur-like `Ozraptor’ art feature, which is certain to attract great interest from its playful admirers. They will also be given an opportunity to unearth the replica skeleton of a dinosaur from within the playground limits.

A great deal of thought has gone into the design and features, which also include interactive sound sculptures, a swing in the shape of a giant bird’s nest, and a slide.

The natural appeal of the area is complemented by design features such as boulders and timber logs, alongside limestone stepping stones and an integrated path network encompassing pine bark mulch, concrete, and compacted limestone.

Presenting an atmosphere of fun and adventure for children of all ages, the new playground and its many outstanding characters and interactive fixtures are certain to be a popular focus for postcard printing for many years to come.
