Wangara dog owners are busy taking their animals for walks in preparation for the Western Australia’s Walk to
Fight Animal Cruelty.
The event, known as the Million Paws Walk, was initiated by the RSPCA to raise money for the many thousands of animals in need.
Organisers have set a fundraising goal this year of $250,000.
Aiming to be a great day out for the entire family, the Million Paws Walk welcomes dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and abilities, as well as their owners and families.
Even those who wish to take part in the dog walk, but don’t have one of their own, are urged to participate.
Man’s best friend is not the only one who will have a great day out, as there will also be a host of activities for all the family, including giveaways, stalls, displays and entertainment.
The Million Paws Walk is an important part of the RSPCA’s annual fundraising efforts, which also include online donations, merchandise sales and other event activities.
In Western Australia, the organisation receives up to 70 calls a day reporting acts of cruelty. The funds that area raised through the staging of events each year help to cover services, programs and operations.
Print companies have been busy spreading the word of the state-wide Million Paws Walk, which will be held on 18th May.Get a Free Quote for Print
