There will be lots of Christmas events and activities in Werribee City Centre throughout December, as Wyndham City Council gets residents into the festive spirit.
Ten local primary schools have decorated wooden Christmas trees and these will be on display in Wedge Street Piazza. Watton Plaza will be transformed by Red Arcade, a free immersive pop-up installation full of surprises and tricks until 9th December.
A miniature park will be created at Woodville Park Shopping Centre and will be open until the end of December. The city’s Christmas tree will return to Station Place.
A ‘Passport to Christmas’ competition has been organised by Wyndham Business and Tourism Association to encourage residents to do their Christmas shopping locally. Printing services have been busy creating a mini-mag so shoppers can collect Passport Stamps from participating businesses when they spend $25 or more. Prizes worth over $2,000 are on offer.
Councillor Peter Maynard, the Wyndham City mayor, said that the Christmas celebrations will bring local businesses and residents together.
The festivities will be launched with ‘Werribee Lights Up for Christmas’ on Friday 30th November. This free celebration will have face painting, Christmas carols, a photo booth and of course, a visit from Santa. Councillor Maynard encourages residents to come along and be part of a great community celebration of everything we love about Christmas.Get a Free Quote for Stamps
