Creative practitioners in Werribee are preparing for an upcoming skills development workshop, focused on art residencies, scheduled for mid-May.
Hosted by Wyndham City Arts and Culture, the event will spotlight arts residencies consultant, Eliza Dawson, who will help participants explore the broad area of art residencies and understand how they can begin their residency journey with confidence.
Dawson has almost two decades’ experience in program and partnership delivery in the arts sector, with a strong background of leadership in the arts residencies network.
This three-hour workshop will explore what’s involved in an arts residency, how participants can find the right residency for them, how to apply and maximise the chance of success, and how they can get the most out of the residency experience.
Dawson will take participants through a step-by-step process, empowering them with the confidence to pursue local and international residencies and transform their career path.
Organisers of workshops and similar events can use poster printing to promote their offerings, generate interest, and attract attendees.
The Art Residencies workshop will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at SPARK Wyndham Innovation Hub, 600 Sneydes Rd, Werribee, VIC, 3030. The event will begin at 10:00AM and conclude at 1:00PM, and is open to adults over eighteen. Tickets are $10 each and can be booked through the Humanitix website.
