Werribee to welcome equestrian event

A national event dedicated to heavy horses will be held in Werribee this summer.

Werribee residents with a passion for all things equestrian won’t want to miss an upcoming event taking place in the suburb in January. The National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival is making a welcome return to the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre for its 2025 edition. The festival also includes an unofficial competition for heavy horse dressage.

Organisers of events where animals and their owners compete sometimes reach out to professional printing services to design awards and trophies to bestow on winners.

Over the years, the celebrated festival has become one of the largest displays for heavy horses in Australia. Far more than simply a horse show, the event enables the public to enjoy interactive entertainments.

Attendees can visit displays in the trade village and experience show ring activities with seats on the edge of the action. Market stalls, food vans and live demonstrations will be present on the day, run by a hand-picked selection of vendors and exhibitors.

The National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival will now run from Saturday, 18 to Sunday, 19 January at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre. All tickets are priced at $10, and the centre is included in the Werribee Park Precinct and situated at 170 K Road in Werribee South.
