Werribee Park celebrates all things French

The So Frenchy So Chic Festival, celebrating French music and food, will be held at Werribee Park in January.

The family-friendly event will have the feel of a giant garden party but with a line-up of top class French musical acts performing on the main stage. This year, there is an all-female programme of music featuring Camille, Yelle, Clara Luciani and Cléa Vincent.

There will be many options of French cuisine available including crepes, mussels, raclette, cheeseboards and charcuterie, all of which can be paired with French wine, champagne or cocktails. For visitors who want to picnic but feel that French cuisine is not their cup of tea, a choice of picnic hampers will be on offer, including a cheese hamper, a charcuterie hamper, a vegetarian hamper, a gluten free hamper and a kid’s hamper.

As well as music and food, there will also be lots of family-friendly activities including face painting, games of pétanque and lawn croquet, flower crown making, braiding bars and selfie-friendly installations.

At events such as this, banner printing is often used to signpost the different activities.

So Frenchy So Chic will be held at Werribee Park on Sunday 13th January from 11.15am to 9pm. Adult tickets are $86, 13-17 year olds are priced at $45 and children up to 12 years can enter for free. Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite.
