A punk rock band from America has announced it will be performing live on stage at a celebrated music venue in Melbourne later this year.
Those in Werribee and other Melbourne suburbs who enjoy US rock will soon get to hear the Washington band who founded the “Riot Grrrl” movement back in the 90s. The legendary Bikini Kill will be playing a single-night set at the Forum in March.
The performance in Melbourne will be one stop for the band on a tour across Australia that will take them to Hobart, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and see them appear at the Golden Plains Festival and at the iconic Sydney Opera House. The tour will mark Bikini Kill’s first appearance down under in over 25 years. Promoters and organisers of international tours often look to expert printing services to create a wide range of advertising materials including large-scale signage, Posters, and Flyers.
The band features three quarters of the original line-up, with songwriter Kathleen Hanna on vocals, Kathi Wilcox on Bass and Tobi Vail playing drums. They will be joined by guitarist Sara Landau, who replaces former band mate Billy Karren.
Bikini Kill will now play the Forum Melbourne on Wednesday, March 8. The venue is located at 154 Flinders Street in Melbourne and the gig will kick off at 7 pm.
