Werribee beer fans to enjoy upcoming event

A two-day event dedicated to beer is headed for a famous Melbourne convention centre later this year.

Those in Werribee who enjoy beer won’t want to miss this event, which arrives nearby in autumn. Located close to the suburb, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) will host The Great Australasian Beer Spectapular (GABS), and it is scheduled for April.

Organisers of events dedicated to beer and the breweries that attend them often bring along a stock of affordable, but practical, Promotional Products to hand out to the public, like can coolers, steins and branded beer mats.

Internationally acknowledged as being among the world’s biggest beer events, the occasion lets delegates taste beers from breweries across several countries, and savour spirits produced by distillers. Those attending GABS 25 can encounter more than 500 different beer taps, wines, whisky, cocktails and more.

There will also be live entertainment, music, a disco, street food, games and a chance to hear stories first-hand from some of Australia’s best brewers.

Schlenkerla, the renowned smoked beermaker of Bamburg, and the oldest brewery in the world, Weihenstephan, are also confirmed to attend.

The Great Australasian Beer Spectapular 2025 will now run at MCEC on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5. The exhibition centre is situated at 1 Convention Centre Place in Melbourne’s South Wharf.
